The apis for creating custom tables and fields provide for descriptions. When are the descriptions used?  As far as I've read, it isn't evident from the examples or documentation.

Hmm, it looks like they're not being used at all.  default.asp?pg=pgSchema uses the descriptions from our tables and columns to generate a description of the schema, but it looks like plugin tables are not being included.  I've opened a case to fix that.
