Hi, a strange error has been reported by a customer of our plugin.
They have FogBugz 7.2.18 on Debian 5 and the plugin Mockups for FogBugz, downloaded from the plugin gallery. When a new version of the plugin is available in the gallery, FogBugz displays a notification. Strangely, they are forced to update and restart the computer. Otherwise, this error message appears until the plugin gets updated: System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not load file or assembly 'System.Data' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. File name: 'System.Data' at System.Runtime.Remoting.Proxies.RealProxy.PrivateInvoke (System.Runtime.Remoting.Proxies.RealProxy rp, IMessage msg, System.Exception& exc, System.Object[]& out_args) [0x00000] Can you help us in understanding what happens? (We just learned that FogBugz checks automatically for new versions. On my Vista box I didn't get that error. Perhaps the solution is trivial, but we don't have an idea...) Thanks Marco
Hi Marco-
We have seen this error in Mono when an AppDomain reload is forced, but it hasn't been repeatable and it has always been fixed by a fogbugzctl restart (and not required a full system reboot). We haven't heard about this in a while, but if it's still showing up, we'll investigate. Can you confirm with the customer a 'fogbugzctl restart' doesn't solve the problem? If a reboot is required, that's good information for us to have, but it seems unlikely. Thanks! Brett |
